2310 Days since retiring July 1, 2005!

"Progress comes
To those who
Train and train;
Reliance on secret techniques
Will get you nowhere."
from Art of Peace

Read on and fall sound asleep

This will be short and really just to keep a promise to myself. I went to my second high school game of 2011 tonight. My senior grandson’s team played a team from Magnolia High School. Jared’s team is a typical SBISD team, some whites, some blacks, more latinos, and some Asians. The same applies for the band and drill team. I saw something in the Magnolia team that I had not seen in 4 decades. They were so white I almost had to wear my sunglasses. The drill teams and band were also moonlight white. I did not see a single person with anything other than northern European ancestry. That level of homogeneity is now disconcerting. When we left at the end of the third quarter SBISD Springwoods High was behind 42 to zero. Springwoods has not scored a touchdown this year.
