Read on and fall sound asleep
My Shakespeare reading group is now reading “A Midsummer’s night Dream”. Fascinating. Lucille Ball and Superman owe a lot to Shakespeare for the concept of not disguise to hid identity. One of the things that makes Willie so wonderful is his vocabulary. Just consider the word Oppugnancy. It certainly, in its very formulation, conveys a degree of unpleasantness. Thank you Willie. No you have to look up the word for yourself. Go ahead! You will love it.
I have listened and watched with a horrified fascination all the political lying and wrangling about the economy and financial deficits looming in the USA. No where have I heard anyone say a single word of truth about the huge elephant about to eat all our money. I am talking about the aging of the human population. The four graphs below show that over time the percentage of old people in almost all countries is growing. It is clear to me that as long as we arbitrarily define a certain age as time to quit gainful employment and at the same time people are living longer and fewer people are being born there comes a time when all the earnings of the gainfully employed cannot pay for the needs of the non working. I insist that the crisis is not far away unless we wipe the world of the current groups of lying conniving stuffed shirts and big brains found in every country.

A whole wealth of data can be found athttp://populationpyramid.net/ and associated web sites. Facts do not lie but politicians can make them confess to anything. Do me a favor. Take one of your favorite politicians out to lunch tomorrow. While it is distracted throw a gunny sack over it and treat it like the old folks did one of my dog’s litters. Or if you are so inclined just vote the self-serving crumb out of office. We would not be worse off if Congress were dissolved for a year. A year without a burglar is always better than a year with a burglar.
Ken Lee, son of one of the most wonderful women I ever met, posted in Facebook about indexing old hand written record for Ancestry Research. The organization if set for the release of the 1940 census. The only way huge amounts of records can be accessed on line is for an army of workers to read each record and type the data into an electronic database. I started at beginner level and probably will stay there because of the difficulty of reading the old hand writing. In future I am sure going to take more care with my writing. Sometimes I cannot tell the difference between oo and m. I started in the death records for Texas but the entries for the babies deaths just tore me apart. In each one I imagined I could see the anguish in the handwriting of the “informant”. Also I was flabbergasted by how many times women’s names were lost. Too many time the entry for mother was “unknown”. God we are tough of the “weaker” sex. So I switched to draft registrations and am making good progress. If interested copy and paste https://familysearch.org/volunteer/indexing into your browser. Be aware this is a project of the Mormon Church. I was stunned when I discovered the amount of raw hostility towards Mormans.

There comes a time when a woman just has to trust her husband...
A wife comes home late at night and quietly opens the door to her bedroom. From under the blanket she sees four legs instead of two. A man and a woman. She reaches for a baseball bat and starts hitting the blanket as hard as she can. Once she's done, she goes to the kitchen to have a drink.
As she enters, she sees her husband there, reading a magazine. "Hi Darling", he says, "Your parents have come to visit us, so l let them stay in our bedroom.
Did you say hello"?
