Flowers for the dance

When senior grandson was finally dressed we leaped in the battered
ford and lit a shuck for the 8th grade dance. Then he 'remembered' "Oh
I need flowers." Yeah right! So I took him to Kroger to buy flowers. I
expected roses or carnations or even mums but, never in a hundred
years, hydrangeas! What taste 8th grade boys have! I think I was the
same trend setter.

Sadly I will likely never see the female side of the equation because
the granddaughters live in Austin and their parents apparently have
religeous scruples about taking pictures. I have more pictures of
orange kitty than my two Austin jewels. That is a direct hint senior
daughter. More pictures of your kids.
Just before he left the car he said "Oh I need 8 dollars. All I have
left after a day with the pickpockets and bottomless stomachs was a
$20. I told him that would also be for tomorrow meals around the
basketball games. Boys ought to be born with a feeding tube in place
and a built in grinder for prepping food for the tube.
